Smart home automation in Pakistan was either imported and overpriced, or cheap hardware with no software and no support. The working class and middle-income families had no real access. That gap is exactly why GetSmart was built.
GetSmart was founded solo — no team, no external funding. The hardware was designed from scratch for Pakistani electrical standards. The software was written from the ground up. Servers run locally in Pakistan. Getting Google Home certified was a deliberate commitment to reliability, not a feature checkbox.
